1) Installation

Free Version

You can install the Free plugin using either method below.

Method 1: Install from WordPress Plugin Directory

In WordPress Admin, go to Plugins > Add New.
Search for Stella Smart FAQ.
Click Install Now, then Activate.

Method 2: Upload ZIP File Manually

Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
Upload the stella-smart-faq.zip file.
Click Install Now, then Activate.

After Activation

A Stella Smart FAQ menu will appear in your WordPress admin sidebar.
Go to Stella Smart FAQ > Settings to configure your AI provider.
Go to Stella Smart FAQ > Dashboard to scan for FAQ opportunities.
Edit any post/page to generate FAQs using the Stella FAQ meta box.

Pro Version (Extension)

Install and activate the Free plugin first.
Go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
Upload stella-smart-faq-pro.zip.
Click Install Now, then Activate.

Important: Pro is an extension. The Free plugin must be active.

Choose an AI Provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, OpenRouter).
Enter your API Key.
Click Fetch Models to load available models.
Select a Model, then click Test Connection.
Edit a post or page and open the Stella FAQ meta box.
Click Generate AI FAQs.
Insert FAQs using shortcode or Gutenberg block.

Go to Stella Smart FAQ > Pro Tools.
Use Bulk Generation, Topic Generator, or URL Generator.
Enable WooCommerce FAQ placement if needed.

Create categories.

Go to Stella Smart FAQ > Pro Tools.
Choose scope: all posts, category, selected IDs.
Set max posts (0 = unlimited).
Confirm checkbox.

13) Troubleshooting

AI connection fails: Verify API key, model, and credits. Use Test Connection.
No FAQs generated: Check that content exists and increase Max Input Characters.
Schema not visible: Ensure shortcode/block is on the page and test with Google Rich Results.

14) Data & Uninstall

Free uninstall removes FAQ analytics table and settings.
Pro uninstall removes Pro analytics table.
FAQs can be deleted manually if needed.
